Royal is a really sweet boy who needs structure and a schedule. He could be placed as an only dog or with another dog companion. Royal needs an active home where he will be exercised daily. He would love to have a securely fenced yard to run and play in. Royal is a love bug and he enjoys being with his people. A work from home job or a home where somebody is there often would be a huge benefit for him. Royal has just finished a training program to learn boundaries and obedience. We welcomed Royal into rescue last weekend. This 17 month old boxer boy was surrendered to rescue because of the length of time he was spending in a crate after his owner’s schedule changed. Royal is reported to be friendly with other dogs and he previously lived with children. Due to his size and energy level, we would recommend older children for his forever home. His previous owner is hoping our rescue can find Royal a home with a securely fenced yard and somebody that is home more often to meet his needs for a boxer this age. Royal has arrived at his foster home in Maryland and is settling in. His foster dad reports that Royal has been a lot of fun, but he definitely needs an owner that can handle a young, high energy boy who needs some training.
