11/5/22 – Rhea has been missing in Turkey since early Sept 2022 and is presumed to be deceased.

Rhea is the mother of Hera, who was rescued by AABR a few years ago and is living happily in the US. Rhea was not as fortunate and was forced to breed repeatedly until she was no longer healthy enough to reproduce. Rhea is around 6 years of age and is being treated for advanced ehrlichiosis.  She is trying to gain weight.   Rhea is also getting x-rays to check out an old injury to her back. Due to her past, Rhea stresses about food and is fed separately from other dogs.  Aside from that, she is happy to chill with the pack. Once Rhea is healthy and cleared for travel,  she will fly to the US to enjoy her retirement.  Rhea will be looking for a foster or adoptive home when she arrives in the United States.
