We are not sure why this wonderful girl hasn’t been scooped up yet! Willow is still patiently waiting for the right home to apply for her. What we have discovered is that Willow loves other dogs, and we are hoping that her forever home will have a male dog companion for her. She recently stayed at a volunteer’s house for a week while her foster mom was on vacation – and Willow quickly became the best of friends with their male boxer. She loved running around the yard with him and going for long walks. She has spent time with a few other dogs as well and is always so much happier to be around a dog companion.  Willow is very affectionate and friendly with everyone she meets. She is very well behaved both inside and outside of the home. Willow is always a huge hit when taken out to events. She recently went to a reenactment at Mt Vernon and Willow enjoyed all of the people petting her and interacting with children of all ages – nothing phased her. If you are looking for a girl with a fantastic temperament, apply today for Willow!

Willow has been moved to a new foster home and she is settling in well. All of her puppies have been weaned and are pending adoption. We would also love to find an adoptive home for Willow. She is still a puppy herself, at just around a year of age. Willow’s foster mom indicates that she is such a sweet girl. She loves belly rubs and laying in the sun. Willow knows all of her commands and she rides well in the car. She is becoming more active and has started to play with toys. Willow is scheduled to be spayed next week. She will then be ready to be placed in a home of her own. Apply today if you are interested in adopting this special girl!

Willow was terrified and very pregnant when she arrived at the shelter. She is estimated to be only around 1-2 years old. We thankfully had a foster home who agreed to take her home and they immediately went to the shelter to get her into rescue. Willow ended up giving birth to eight puppies in less than 24 hours after she arrived at her foster home. She is a very sweet girl who seems to do well around other dogs. Willow also did well when she was introduced to cats. She will be ready for adoption after her puppies are weaned. If you are interested in Willow, apply today! We would love to have a home in place when she is ready for adoption.
