Willett continues to do well in foster and she is still looking for a good match. She would do best in a home with a resident dog of the opposite sex and who is young enough to appreciate the energy and behavior of a puppy this age. Willett would also do best with a fenced yard as she needs boundaries outside. She loves being around her foster siblings and she will seek out her own fun as well. Willett is a great snuggler and always wants to be close to her foster parents. She is still working on potty breaks and needs a home that can continue to take her out throughout the day. Willett is very treat motivated and she has been picking up many commands. This adorable girl is ready for a forever home of her own. If you meet her needs, apply today!

Willett is becoming a feisty, independent lady! She loves to play with her puppy siblings, but she also puts herself in the kennel for some down time. She is quite affectionate and loves her snuggle time with her humans. Willett is starting to follow her foster mom around the house and explore – she is always getting her nose into things! Willett loves hiding under furniture and sticking her paw out to play. She was the smallest of the litter, but she is eating like a champ. Although she is tiny, Willett has a big personality! She is such a sweet girl and will do well in any home that has the time and dedication for a puppy.

We were able to help a second litter of puppies in rescue over the weekend. We were contacted by a breeder who was no longer able to care for the puppies. Thanks to the quick action of several volunteers, we were able to get all of the puppies into foster homes. They just turned 7 weeks old today and will be ready to go to their new homes next week (February 26th). Please make sure your home is a good match for a puppy this age before submitting an application. Willett will need somebody home often to work on her house training and socialization. She will need an active family that is willing to make a lifelong commitment for her. If there is another dog in the home, they need to be able to appreciate the energy and antics of a young puppy.

We will be reviewing all applications and looking for homes that understand and meet the needs of an 8 week old puppy. Willett is currently fostered in Maryland. We will continue to provide updated pictures and information about her progress in her foster home.
