A shelter in WV has seized over thirty dogs from a breeder who became overwhelmed and was not properly caring for them. AABR was made aware of a mom and a litter of six week old puppies that needed rescue help from this seizure. Whitney (donated name) was very malnourished and did not have any milk. The puppies had already been weaned from her at the shelter. Whitney arrived at her foster home last weekend, where she is now living with a 4 year old child. Her foster mom indicates that she is a super sweet girl. She received a bath and is now being treated for a skin infection and Giardia. Whitney is doing well with her housetraining and she is gaining some much needed weight. She will be spayed soon and then will be ready for adoption. The shelter reported that she did well with other dogs, but Whitney is also doing great as an only dog in her current foster.
