Turner arrived at a shelter in West Virginia as a stray along with another male dog.  He was reported to be a sweet and outgoing boy – his nub never stopped moving!  Shelter volunteers reported that Turner was very friendly with people and other dogs.  He enjoyed going into the river to cool off.  Turner does not have any history around cats or small children, but his overnight foster reported that he was very gentle with her neighbor’s young children. Turner was lucky to find a foster home with AABR.  He was seen by a vet to be neutered and brought up to date.  The vet estimated his age around 2 years old.  Turner arrived at his new foster home in Virginia last week.  His foster mom reports that he is settling in well.  He loves when her daughter’s boxers come to visit.  Turner would really enjoy a dog companion in his new home.  He has not had any recent accidents and is learning to ring a bell to go outside.  Turner is eager to please and picks up things quickly.  She reports that Turner walks on leash like a dream.  He loves to play with toys and also to snuggle with his foster mom when he is tired.  This boy is going to be a wonderful addition to a lucky family!
