Trumbo has been in foster for almost two months and he is still looking for his forever home. He would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard and another dog. Trumbo would love to find a home with a young female dog or multiple dog friends who will appreciate his energy. He loves to play, but is still learning how! He is completely housebroken, can use a dog door, and does really well in a crate. Trumbo loves to cuddle and he continues to learn more things every day now that he is out of a breeding situation and in a home environment. He is still quite timid at times and doesn’t like loud noises, so a quieter home with older children would be best for him. Trumbo is full of love and he is trying to be a brave boy. He gets along well with everyone he meets and he especially loves his blue jolly ball!

Trumbo is doing wonderful in his foster home. He has healed well from his neuter and should be off all restrictions at the end of the week. Trumbo’s personality is coming out more and more with each day. He climbed into his foster mom’s lap this morning and fell asleep. Trumbo is also learning that dog beds are much more comfortable to sleep in than on the floor. He has made great strides with learning his commands and Trumbo loves toys. He continues to get along great with his foster sister. Trumbo is very respectful of her space. He is completely housebroken and hasn’t had a single accident in the house. Trumbo also loves children, but we would recommend kids over 8 years just because of his size. He was very sweet and gentle with the children he met over the weekend.

Trumbo was surrendered to a shelter with four other boxers after their breeder passed away. He is four years old and is great with other dogs. We do not have any history for Trumbo around children or cats. He just arrived at his new foster home in Maryland. Trumbo was very easy to introduce to his foster sister, a female boxer, and he is doing great with her. Trumbo’s foster mom reports that he is a super sweet and curious boy. He needs to learn his basic commands, but Trumbo responds well to praise and treats – so he should pick those up quickly. This may be Trumbo’s first experience in a car and in a home environment. He loves watching television and falling asleep in the extra large bean bag. We will post additional pictures and information as his foster mom gets to know him better. At this time, we feel he would do best in a home with another dog.
