Sophie has finally come into her own. She is a very happy, wiggly girl. Sophie loves her stuffed elephant and you can usually find her bringing it to you to play fetch or tug. She is a smart boxer who listens well and knows her commands. Sophie has no problems going in her crate, but she is usually left with free run when her foster parents are at work. Sophie can be protective of her home, but has done well meeting new people when she is put on leash before somebody new comes into the house. She loves her walks and we are working on some leash reactivity when other dogs walk by. Now that the weather is warmer, Sophie is happiest when running around her fenced yard and finding tennis balls to play with. She loves to run and will then just stop and roll in the yard, making you laugh. Sophie looks at you with those big brown eyes and loves to show her boxer playfulness. She is in foster with a male boxer and Sophie has just started to instigate play with him. We are recommending a home without young children. Sophie is off all medications and is maintaining well just on her K/D kidney prescription food. She will be getting her levels rechecked in six months. Sophie would love to find a forever family of her own. Apply today if you are interested in adopting Sophie.

Sophie has been in foster for several months now and is doing wonderfully! We are very happy to report that her kidney levels have returned to near normal on her medication and prescription dog food. She is crate trained and housebroken. Sophie has also been able to be spayed and she is now looking for a forever home willing to give this special girl a chance.

Sophie has been in foster for a month now and has settled in well. She loves her crate and will go in willingly. Sophie is described by her foster mom as a very sweet and wiggly girl. She is getting along great with her foster brother, a male boxer. Through testing at two different vets, we have sadly confirmed that Sophie has moderate kidney disease. The good news is that Sophie feels great at this time and is showing just mild symptoms. She is on medication for her kidneys and is now eating prescription food. Sophie is available for adoption, but will need regular monitoring of her kidney levels by her new family. Please consider this special girl for your home.

Sophie was found as a stray and is estimated to be around 3 yrs old. She did well when tested with other dogs at the shelter. Sophie was transported on Saturday and is getting settled in at her new foster home. Everyone that met her on the transport commented about how sweet she was. Sophie is currently in foster with a male boxer. We will post more info once her foster family gets to know her better.
