Seven has been in foster for a little over a week and he has made a lot of progress with consistency, structure, and exercise. He is learning that car rides are a fun thing. Seven goes to work with his foster mom and he is no longer jumping on the new people that he meets. He will now back away from the door and sit as someone enters and leaves. Seven is a very smart boy and picks up things quickly! He loves people and is quite attached to his foster dad already. Seven is doing well with crate training and will go in willingly. He would do best in a home with another dog and a securely fenced yard. Seven has done amazing with all three dogs in his foster home and will walk away if they are assertive. This boy is a wonderful young boxer and is going to be a great addition to a lucky family!

Seven was surrendered by his owner because he was unable to train him and control him when guests came over. He has also been too rough with the owner’s young grandchildren. This is Seven’s second home. He was given away initially because his previous owner could not control him. The volunteer that went to meet Seven at his home indicated that he was a very lovable, sweet, and extremely excitable three year old boy. Seven does need work on his jumping on guests and with learning how to calm himself around new people. He is used to having somebody with him for the majority of the day. Seven just arrived at his new foster home in Maryland, where he will be living with three other dogs. He is really enjoying his large fenced yard.  Seven would do best with a securely fenced yard and an active female dog that can handle his energy level. He is recommended for a home with older children. His foster home will be providing consistency and training to get him ready for his forever home.
