Sam was surrendered to AABR when his owner lost her home and could not find a rental that allowed dogs. He has been very loved and this was a difficult decision, but we assured his owner that Sam would find an amazing home through rescue and she would never have to worry about him ending up in a shelter. Sam has just arrived at his new foster home in Maryland and he is settling in well. He is getting along great with his foster sibling, a 7 year old female boxer. He is also in foster with a 6 year old child.  His foster mom reports that he is very energetic and does need some work on his jumping.   Sam previously lived with multiple dogs, both male and female. He does not have any history around cats. Sam is reported to be great with children of all ages, although he may knock over younger kids due to his size and energy level. Sam’s owner indicated that he is the most lovable boxer who enjoys cuddling and being petted. He loves to run around the backyard and he has been used to having a fenced yard. Sam also loves pizza crust, walks, and car rides. He is completely housebroken and also crate trained. Sam has been given free run during the work day with no problems.  He is being neutered on Monday and will then be ready for his new home.  Sam would love to find a forever home with a female dog and a fenced yard to run in. He is going to be a great addition to a lucky home!
