Update 06/29/25

Rex/Cooper was rescued from the Devore Shelter in California. Cooper has
made his way to New York, but his journey to a forever home isn’t over yet.
This sweet, soulful boy wears his past in a few scars, but his heart is
pure gold.

Rex/Cooper adores people, knows basic commands, and lives for his toys.
Despite his loving nature, he hasn’t received a single adoption
application. Not one.

He’s a snuggler and a joy to be around. Let’s not let him be overlooked any
longer.

Rex was found wandering the rough streets of Muscoy, CA. This area is known for its challenging conditions, making survival incredibly tough for any stray. We don’t know how long Rex struggled out there, but it’s clear he’s been through a lot. Estimated to be around 3 years old, Rex is pretty beat up. He has scars, eye issues, and swollen, wounded feet.

Rex ended up in a high-kill shelter at Devore, scared and alone, with little interest from potential adopters. He was down to his last hour when Adopt A Boxer, with the help of R&R Boxer Rescue, stepped in to save him.

Now, Rex is safe, but he needs medical care and a lot of love to heal. He will be going to the vet to get the treatment he desperately needs and then transported to New York for a chance at a better life.
