Remy is an energetic, young boxer with a love of running, chasing balls, and playing with his new dog friends. Growing up with his brother, Remy had little exposure to the outside world and as a result, he came into rescue shy and under-socialized. Remy could sometimes be stand-offish and other times, he was excited and overstimulated in new situations. Since joining AABR, Remy has slowly been exposed to new dogs, people, and situations. He is learning to behave in a calm and more controlled manner. Remy loves to engage with his person and he thrives on them being able to give him proactive directions at times when he is unsure. Remy has been playing nicely with dogs his own size. He can be overwhelming with smaller dogs, so more exposure is needed in this area. Remy is looking for a home where his person can continue the confidence building work. He will also need a home outside of the city and a securely fenced yard for play and off leash running. Remy does not have a history around cats and should be placed with no children or calm children over the age of 12. A female dog that is around his size would be beneficial for Remy.

Remy is looking for a home that has more time for him. He was living with a family with small children, but they were working long hours and couldn’t give him the attention that he needed.  Remy would do best with a physical fence in the suburbs.  He is looking for a committed home.
