This guy is breaking our hearts in a very quiet way.

Reese is a sweet, sturdy senior. He had a home at one point in his life. And now he’s looking for one..

Right now Reese is  just sad. Not dramatic. Not loud. Just the kind of sad that sits there and watches the door. In spite of what probably feels like desperation, he remains sweet. He even performs tricks to ask for treats. There is an additional layer of heartache thinking that someone taught him all these things and then he ended up on a shelter during his golden years.

He doesn’t pace. He doesn’t bark.

He just looks like a dog waiting for someone that isn’t coming back.

Reese is just looking for a soft place to land. He enjoys other dogs and has been around children ages eight years and older during various outings in our rescue.

He would love a simple life.
Couch.Soft bed. Walks around the neighborhood.
Someone who understands that some dogs don’t need fixing…. They need normal.

We just need a foster so he doesn’t have to grieve his losses in a kennel.
