Reese has been spayed and she is now ready to go to her forever home.  Her foster mom reports that she has been doing great.  She is gaining some much needed weight.  There isn’t a treat or food that Reese doesn’t like.  She does wonderful in the home with her fur-brother.  Reese also loves to go on adventures in the car.  She went shopping for Halloween costumes and was Beetlejuice to match her furbrother.  Reese has also gone to a pet festival with a several other dogs, children, and costumes – she was fantastic with all of it.  This girl has absolutely no issues greeting other dogs or people.  She has the cutest wiggles and is just the sweetest boxer girl.

Reese’s foster mom has nothing but good things to say about her. She has gotten along well with all her other dogs, even when one of them was not welcoming to Reese. She loves blankets, pillows, and food! Reese also absolutely loves squeaky toys and laying in the sun. She has had a lot of change in her world and is ready to get settled into a home. As soon as the puppies are fully weaned, Reese will be moving to a new foster home where she can work on gaining weight and getting ready for her spay.

Reese arrived at a shelter in West Virginia in very poor shape and with a litter of seven newborn puppies after her owner could no longer care for them. She is estimated to be around 6-7 years of age. On her examination, the vet indicated that Reese’s body condition was a 2 out of 9 (very thin). The volunteer at the shelter reported that Reese was the sweetest girl and she was very playful with other dogs. The shelter was over capacity, and reached out to see if AABR could help this family. Thanks to the offer of a foster home that was willing to keep them together until the puppies were old enough to wean, Reese and her family were able to be transported out of the shelter over the weekend. Reese was very friendly with every transporter and she is settling in well at her new foster placement.  She lets her foster mom know when she has to go outside to potty, and she is enjoying relaxing in her yard.  Reese would love to have a committed family of her own to go to once her puppies are able to be weaned.  Apply today if you are able to give this wonderful girl a forever home.
