Rafiki and his three littermates were surrendered to a shelter when their owners moved across the country and their new rental did not allow dogs. All four boxers were very fearful in the shelter, so a plea was placed for rescue help. They were feeding off each other’s fear and have been making much better progress after being separated. They are very food motivated and each will need a patient home to socialize them and to help them build their confidence. It would be beneficial for them to be placed with a confident dog of the opposite sex and a securely fenced yard. Rafiki is 7 months old and has just arrived at his new foster home in Maryland. He is currently in foster with a female boxer. We will update Rafiki’s page once he settles in and his foster family gets to know him better.
