Magic is still searching for his forever home—and still stealing hearts (and socks)!  His foster mom apologizes for the delayed update, but this sweet, high-energy boxer has been keeping her on her toes with his antics and endless enthusiasm for life. While not much has changed in terms of his lovable personality, one thing remains clear: everyone who meets Magic falls for him, and he falls right back.

Recently, his crate was moved to the living room where he can watch the world go by, and it’s quickly become one of his favorite places. Not only does he settle quietly there when left alone, but he’ll often head in for a nap—usually with a small stash of stolen treasures from around the house or yard!

Magic lives for walks, car rides, romping in the yard, and snuggling with his people, but his true passion? Balls. He’s incredibly athletic and agile, and watching him play is pure entertainment.  He could be good as an only dog, but he continues to enjoy playtime with the young female boxer mix in his foster home – though his excitement can sometimes be a bit much. And that says a lot because she has been kicked out of several dog play group because she plays rough.  For that reason, if he does have a canine sibling, a playful female dog his size and energy level would be the best match. One of the most heartwarming changes has been Magic’s growing ability to practice patience and self-control. While he’s still a bit of a handful and may occasionally knock someone over in his enthusiasm, he’s making progress every day—and his foster mom is committed to helping him continue that growth until his perfect match comes along.

If you have the time, space, and love for a sweet, spirited, ball-chasing boxer, Magic might be the one you’ve been waiting for. Apply today and meet this unforgettable pup!

Magic has been neutered and he is now ready to find a forever home! He is a bundle of energy and needs a committed home who can provide him with leash walks, mental stimulation, and lots of time to enjoy running in the yard. Magic would do best with a tall, standard fence – he has a little too much drive to be trusted with an invisible fence. We have also determined that he definitely needs a home without cats. Magic is in foster with two other dogs, and he has a great time running and playing with the younger female dog in his foster home.  Magic would love an energetic dog companion to continue to chase and wrestle with.  He is crate trained, but can be a little vocal at first – so probably not best for an apartment setting. Magic is just the sweetest boy and everyone that has met him has fallen in love.  Apply today if you have a home that is a match for his needs.

Magic was found as a stray and was not reclaimed.  He is estimated to be around a year of age.  Magic ended up at an overcrowded shelter in Maryland, where he waited for weeks for a chance at a home.  We saw his plea and thankfully had a foster home ready for him.  Magic arrived recently at his new foster home in Pennsylvania, where he is settling in with two other dogs. We will post more detailed information after his foster home gets to know him better, but he has been a perfect house guest so far!
