Lola has been doing fantastic in her foster home. She is whipping around in her cart and her spirits are high. Please consider adopting this special needs girl and making her final days worth living.
Lola is now in foster and is in good spirits. She has decreased function in her hind limbs, indicative of Degenerative Myelopathy (DM). This is a fatal neurodegenerative disease that affects older dogs. It initially results in paralysis of the pelvic limbs, but gradually progresses to affect all limbs. Lola will be starting water therapy immediately in an attempt to slow the progression of this disease.
Lola was found dumped in a park in Philadelphia. She was brought to a high kill shelter where she was given until the end of the day. Lola is not able to use her hind legs and is likely suffering from DM. She is a sweet and friendly girl who deserves better.
