Left Hook and Right Hook were found as strays and estimated to be around 5 months old. Both boys are settling in well at their foster home and are living with two AABR boxer alums. The vet at the shelter heard a heart murmur upon exam for Left Hook and recommended a cardiologist visit. We were lucky to get a cancellation appointment so he could be seen within a few days after arriving in rescue. The cardiologist gave him a great report and indicated that the heart murmur was benign and something he may grow out of. Left Hook has normal cardiac size and function – no follow up was recommended. Left Hook will now be neutered next week and then will be ready for his forever home. He would love to find a family with a securely fenced yard and hopefully a female dog companion. Left Hook will need an adopter that has the time and energy for a puppy this age.
