Meet Gus. Gus comes to rescue through the shelter system. He was dumped by his family as they were traveling through our state. Good Samaritans came to help this poor abandoned boy. He was underweight and covered with over 200 fleas and left to starve in the woods with his collar and leash attached.

His family didn’t care. They didn’t care that their children witnessed this. They didn’t care if Gus lived or died. They simply pushed him out of the car and drove away.
He’s a Typical young boxer. A blank slate as we referred to them. Eager to learn, but never taught anything. He’s doing well in his foster home and will thrive with a family that has time to continue his basic training and give him the exercise he needs.

Gus is good with other dogs unknown with cats at this time. He is friendly with all humans and is in foster with a teenage boy. Gus is a good boy. He has a lot of love to give.

That will be fully vetted this week and ready to move forward with a committed family that will love him for the rest of his life.
