Diesel was seized from his previous home due to neglect.  He was left in a crate in an abandoned home along with another male boxer.  Both boys were taken to the shelter in Virginia by animal control.  Diesel was estimated to be around 3 years old.  The shelter reported that he knows basic commands such as sit and down.  Diesel is a very affectionate boy who will readily roll over for belly rubs.  He walks well on leash.  When dog tested at the shelter,  Diesel was very playful with a medium sized female dog, but was a little more dominant and unsure with another male.  He is unknown with cats or children.  The other boxer was pulled by a rescue, but Diesel waited for several months for a foster home to become available.  A previous adopter with AABR saw Diesel’s plea and offered to help him. Diesel was transported to his foster home at the end of August.  He bonded very quickly with his foster sister and both of his foster parents.
