Message for “Name a Dog” donation:
Thank you, Linda Stanley, for giving Chance his name.

Chance is now in foster with three other dogs and he is thriving with their company. He would love to find a home with a young female dog who can keep up with his energy. He is improving with the cats in his foster home and learning not to chase them. Chance is still figuring out potty training, so he will need a home that can work with him during the day. He is doing well in the crate and sleeps in a travel crate at night. Chance is very eager to meet new people and would love to find a new home of his own. He is the only puppy from his litter that is still waiting for his forever family!

A shelter in WV has seized over thirty dogs from a breeder who became overwhelmed and was not properly caring for them. AABR was made aware of a litter of six week old puppies who were struggling in the shelter. Three had passed away from their poor condition. We were able to transport all five remaining puppies into foster homes last weekend. They are very undernourished and are being treated for Demodex mange, Coccidia, Giardia, and hookworms. Chance (donated name) is one of the male puppies and he is doing great in his foster home. Because these puppies were separated early from their mother, they will only be considered in homes with resident dogs to help with their continued socialization. Chance loves being around other dogs and is learning proper play from them. A puppy this age will need an adopter home often enough to work on housebreaking and training. Chance will be available for adoption this weekend once he is 8 weeks old.
