Brandy has started to play with toys.  She also went to the dog park and had absolutely no issues with the other dogs.  At first, she ignored them.  Brandy then jumped in to start playing.  Her foster mom took her to Shenandoah to do some hiking.  She also was able to hang out in a coffee shop.  Everyone commented about how well behaved she was.  Brandy has gotten used to her new routines and she is such a well behaved girl.  She is ready for a forever home of her own and whoever gets her is going to get a fantastic boxer girl!  She is wonderful with children, adults, and other dogs.

Brandy has been spayed and brought up to date on all vet care.  She is settling in great at her foster home.  Brandy has done well meeting both people and other dogs.  Her manners have been impeccable.  She asks to come up on the bed.  When Brandy sees other dogs in the courtyard, she watches them without any barking.  She has been a wonderful foster!

Brandy’s original owner went into hospice and sadly passed away.  She was taken in by a family for 6 months, but Brandy was recently surrendered with her daughter to an overcrowded shelter in West Virginia after a bad fight with a beagle in their house.  The shelter notified our rescue to see if we could help.  They indicated that Brandy is a complete wiggle but with people.  Within days of being scheduled for euthanasia, AABR was able to save Brandy because a previous adopter was able to foster.  Brandy was transported to her new foster home on Saturday.   Her foster mom reports that she is settling in well.  Brandy is a super sweet, typical velcro boxer.  She is very inquisitive and confident.  Brandy walks through the neighborhood, which is filled with people and dogs, without reaction – she has been great on leash.  Brandy will be seeing our vet tomorrow to finish her vet updates and to get scheduled for her spay.  Once this is completed, she will be available for adoption.
