Blanche has been in her foster home for two months now and she is still waiting for her forever family.  Don’t let the fact that she is deaf deter you – Blanche is very smart and eager to please.  She is wonderful with the other dogs and also with people, but Blanche would prefer a home without cats.  She would do best in a home with a male dog to help guide her – she watches her foster fur-siblings very closely.  Blanche walks very well on leash and she is doing much better in her crate.   She absolutely loves to be with her people.  Blanche is a super snuggly girl who wants to be on your lap.  She is also very gentle when taking treats.  If you can provide a forever home for Blanche, apply today!

When Blanche was found wandering all the time on the road, her neighbors were able to help get the owners to surrender her to rescue.  She is a one year old deaf female boxer and they knew it was extremely dangerous being out in traffic and not being able to hear.  AABR has spayed Blanche and completed all of her vetting.  She was then transported last weekend to a foster home in Maryland  Blanche is settling in well.  She is wonderful with all of the dogs and with people, but she is a little too fascinated with the cats – so a home without cats would be best!  Blanche would do best in a home with another dog to guide her, as she watches the other dogs closely to figure things out.  She would also benefit from a securely fenced yard.  She is doing her best to figure things out and will need a patient owner who is comfortable asking her to do things and not forcing her.  Blanche loves to snuggle and her favorite place to be in by your side or on your lap.  She is very gentle when taking treats.  If you are a match for this gentle, sweet girl – apply today for Blanche!
