Bauer has settled in really well at his foster home.  He is currently fostered with a female boxer.  Bauer is completely housebroken and he is also crate trained.  He recently got to spend the week with another AABR volunteer and their foster, available dog Abby.  Bauer was able to go right into his temporary foster with absolutely no problems with the new dog, immediately curling up with her on the couch and on the dog bed.  His temp foster mom reported the same wonderful things as his foster home.  Bauer is still very active and is extremely well mannered in the home.  He loves to be with his people and Bauer is very food motivated.  He had a dental completed last week and Bauer is now ready for his forever home.  This boy is going to be a wonderful addition to a lucky family.

This sweet brindle boxer boy was found as a stray in West Virginia after he had collapsed from the heat.  The person who found him got him cooled down, gave him water, and took him to the shelter.  He had no identification and was sadly not reclaimed.  The shelter was completely out of space, so a kind volunteer offered to pay for boarding at a kennel until this boy found a rescue.  One of our volunteers and previous adopters saw his story and it touched her heart, so she offered to give him a foster home so he could join our rescue.  Bauer was transported to her home on Saturday.  The shelter estimated that Bauer was around 7-8 years of age.  His teeth are pretty worn down.  He knows sit, shake, and down.  Bauer is doing well in his crate and adjusting to his new placement.  He is in foster with a female boxer.
