Barney was found abandoned and hiding under a chair at a gas station during the heatwave. The woman that found him took Barney home and reached out to rescue to see if she could find help for this sweet puppy and avoid having him go to a shelter. AABR was able to help Barney only due to the offer of a foster home from one of our volunteers. When Barney was not reclaimed, we took him to the vet and then set up transport to Maryland. The vet estimated Barney at only 2-3 months old. He was very scared on the transport, but has come out of his shell in foster.  Barney is currently being fostered with cats and two other dogs. Barney would love to find a home with a securely fenced yard and another dog or two to play with.
