Our Gibby was adopted with the name, Nimitz.  His foster was calling him Nimi or Nims because he said Nimitz didn’t fit him (he was a total love), so one night at dinner (before we got him) we went through the alphabet and came up with Gibbs, aka Gibby, Gibby Delishy, Delishy Boy and countless others.

Gibbs came to us from an extremely high kill shelter where he was time stamped for euthanasia. He arrived at the shelter with extensive wounds to his face, neck, and chest. Gibbs has since recovered and is waiting in boarding for a foster or adoptive home to welcome him. At first, Gibbs is shy and timid because he has been through so much pain, abuse, and abandonment. After a few minutes, though, this cutie patootie will be in your lap and wiggling away.
