Message for “Name a Dog” donation:
I would like to name a boxer, Barkley. We adopted a boy from AABR in October 2006. He was fawn in color, had a slight build, and a tremendous appetite for food and love. Barkley was my best friend. I took him everywhere – even to work while delivering. He was always up for anything I asked. He helped me through a very difficult time in my life when anxiety made driving impossible. With his love and patience, we were able to overcome this. I loved him with all my heart. I sadly lost him at the age of 14 1/2 to illnesses. Seeing another boxer with his name will make me smile and give me great memories that we shared.

Welcome Barkley. He is a happy guy who found himself without a home. Barkley is a young boy at around a year of age. He comes with the energy and playfulness of a young male boxer. Barkley needs a committed home that can exercise him and meet the needs of a boxer this age. Barkley does well with other dogs. He ignored cats at the shelter, but we will update his page as we get to know him better in foster.
