Sammy and his sister, Lilly, arrived at a shelter in Virginia at 8 months of age.  Both were thin and had rough looking skin. After some medical TLC and good nutrition, they began to look and feel great.  Lilly found a home through the shelter, but Sammy was still waiting for his chance at happiness.   After four months, the shelter reached out to AABR in hopes we could move him into a foster home and help Sammy find a placement.  One of our previous adopters answered our plea and welcomed Sammy over the weekend.  The shelter reported that Sammy is the perfect mix of puppy enthusiasm and total sweetness.   This boxer mix puppy is estimated at 11 months of age. He has the classic boxer energy and fun personality to keep you smiling. Sammy also has lots of charm and wiggles to share. He is always ready for fun and loves outdoor adventures. Sammy gets along great with other dogs and has a playful energy, while remaining submissive and respectful. Sammy does not have any history around cats.  He is wonderful with kids, loves meeting new people, and is great in the car. Sammy was a staff favorite at the shelter.  He is getting along great with his foster sister, a senior boxer girl, and is learning to be a part of a home.  Apply today if you are interested in adopting Sammy!
