Baloo is safe now. But safe isn’t the same as home.

Here’s the truth about how we found him. Baloo was being sold for $10 I’m an area known for rampant drug use and crime. He was in a small cage out in the sweltering heat. When a Good Samaritan witness this, he had already been extremely overheated minutes from being in distress. She only had $20 bill on her so she gave what she had to get him out of the heat. She pulled him out just in time.

Since then, Baloo has been bounced between temp fosters and boarding. No consistency, no place that’s his. A dog who already lived a miserable existence deserves better than more uncertainty.

Baloo is about 2 years old, roughly 35lbs. He recently had cherry eye surgery on both eyes, what you are seeing here is post op swelling that will subside in time. He is also heartworm positive, rescue covers  treatment.

Baloo is so stressed in boarding… but underneath it he’s just a sweet, sweet, tiny,  little boy who wants somewhere to belong. He walks beautifully on a leash, does great with other dogs his size, and attaches quickly to anyone that shows him kindness.
