Meet Maisie. ?

First, a heartfelt thank you to Linda Stanley for choosing the name Maisie, in honor of her sweet senior Pug granddaughter in New Jersey. We hope our Maisie grows to share that same love, happiness, and wonderful life.

Maisie’s story began in heartbreak.

She was found tied to a tree outside Penn Veterinary Hospital, suffering from a devastating jaw injury that had gone untreated for far too long. Her lower jaw was shattered, infection had taken hold, and she was in excruciating pain. She could no longer eat and desperately needed emergency surgery to survive.

Penn Vet reached out to Adopt A Boxer Rescue, asking if we would take Maisie into our rescue and provide the lifesaving care she so desperately needed.

Because of you—our incredible village of supporters—we were able to say YES.

Maisie underwent extensive surgery to remove the damaged portion of her jaw, clean away infected tissue, and reconstruct the area. Today, she is healing beautifully.

Estimated to be just 3 years old, Maisie has the sweetest soul. Despite everything she has endured, she greets everyone with love, gentle kisses, and a wagging tail. She immediately bonded with her foster family, and every day her personality shines a little brighter.

This brave girl is now looking toward the future instead of the past. Soon, Maisie will be searching for the forever family she has always deserved.
