Champ was found by a good Samaritan roaming the streets scavenging for Food. He was emaciated, weak, dazed and confused. We immediately rushed him to a local emergency room hospital, where he received overnight care and seemed to bounce back wonderfully. Over the course of several weeks, he struggled to gain weight even though he had a hearty appetite. He was admitted to a specialty hospital and under the care of the internal medicine service they determined that he had an infection in his stomach and irritable bowel disease. Champ is on the mend and slowly but steadily gaining weight with the addition of a medication. He enjoys warm, sweaters, soft, comfy beds, treats, and all the loving he can get. He’s a good gentle, sweet boy that deserves so much better than this life gave him.
Champ isn’t currently in foster care with two other Boxers and enjoys the company of other dogs.
