Tyson is a three year old boy who was surrendered to the shelter when his owners went back to work and indicated they no longer had the time or space for him. Tyson can be shy around strangers, but he did well with our volunteer who went to meet him at the shelter. He is an energetic boy and is reported to know his basic commands such as sit, come, stay, wait, place, and down. Tyson is housebroken and crate trained, although he does get anxious in his crate – so he would do best in a home that is not gone for long hours. His previous family reported that Tyson loves children and he was very gentle with them. He was attacked by a dog when he was younger and can be hesitant around some dogs, but Tyson did live with two small dogs in his previous home with no issues. Tyson has a chicken allergy, but he does well on a lamb-based diet. The volunteer that met Tyson at the shelter indicated that he was terrified there. He did allow her to give him attention, but he will need time to decompress from the stress of being in the shelter environment. Tyson just moved to his new foster home this weekend, but he is currently recovering from kennel cough. Once he feels better and we get to know him better, we will provide more information about Tyson and how he is adjusting in his new foster home.
