Weller’s foster mom indicated that he has been given a bath and he is settling in well.  He is a quiet boy with a lot of love to give.  Weller knows his basic commands (sit, come) and he appears to be fully housebroken.  He is enjoying being around the other resident dogs in his foster home.  Weller is very excited to be getting three regular meals in an attempt to get some weight on him.  He is also loving the fenced yard and the freedom of having some time out of his crate.  Weller is learning that couch snuggles and a warm bed are all good things in his life now.

Weller is estimated to be around 2 years old.  He was surrendered to rescue when his owner was not able to care for him and wanted him out immediately.  Volunteers worked quickly to get this boy into rescue because he was spending long hours in a crate and his owner indicated she could not afford to feed him.  He was taken to the vet for the first time by one of AABR’s volunteers.  Weller is scheduled to be neutered next week and then he will be ready for his forever home.  He has been around children of all ages and he is reported to be good with cats and other dogs.  Weller has just arrived at his new foster home in Maryland.
